VRML (virtual reality markup language) is a way of describing virtual reality images using plain text. Virtual reality images can be embedded within a document and viewed using an appropriate browser plugin or an external viewer.
This smidge of markup displays a block with an attached URL and an attached description at a defined position in space.
WWWAnchor { # He name "https://www.shef.ac.uk/chemistry/web-elements/webelements/elements/text/key/He.html" description "popularity - helium [He]: 5.75185899 relative to H=10.0" Material { diffuseColor 1 1 0.4 } Transform {translation 1 -1.278191 18 } Cube {width 0.8 height 2.556382 depth 0.8} }
In principle, all sorts of special effects could be applied to the block, but these may distract attention.
Not too sure why, but on some systems, after the new window has launched, you may have to press "reload" in the new window, even though the file has not displayed even once.
